BAND BOOSTER UPDATE

FROM BAND BOOSTER PRESIDENTS:

Hello Band Parents and Students:

Here are a few reminders as we get ready to begin our 2008-2009 school year. Let us know if you have any questions.

BIG REMINDER: Continue collecting items for our Yard Sale which will be held on August 16th at Lake Norman Lutheran Church in Denver. Please check the website for times to bring items during pre-camp and band camp. We will need LOTS of workers for the Yard Sale. We have FUN! Please check the list below for some items that we are in need of.

Donations needed:

---- 5 oz. paper cups for water during band camp (Sam's Club, Costco and BJs has larger packs of these - be sure they are the 5 oz. size)
----12 packs of name brand soda
----bottled water (Thanks to Al Johnson for the bottled water he donated.)
----bowls and spoons for ice cream party (last day of band camp) ----ice cream and toppings for 8/15 (contact Debbie Harvey) ----rolls of paper towels ----white printer paper 8 1/2 x 11 (Staples has a good deal on these beginning Sunday, Aug. 3rd) ****WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP SET UP AND SERVE ICE CREAM AFTER THE PREVIEW ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 15TH. ***If anyone would like to help provide a meal for the staff during band camp, please let us know. If several folks want to join together on a certain day, that would be great. We will be serving approximately 20 people each day (Monday - Friday). Please contact Debbie Harvey if can help.

****Health Forms can be turned in at pre-camp and band camp (if you haven't already filled these out). Remember that a doctor's signature is required if your child needs to be given ANY medication -- over the counter as well as prescriptions. Let us know if you have any questions.

****Check the website or Band Handbook for all dates and fee payments due.

****Beginning August 1st, you can relink your Harris Teeters card to help support the North Lincoln Band Boosters. There is a link on our band website for this and you can also sign up at the store. The school code for our band is #5392. Please ask your family and friends to link to our organization as well. We will also have details about linking to Food Lion's program at the August booster meetings. We're looking forward to another wonderful year for the Band of Knights!
