ALL BAND FAMILIES ARE ASKED TO DONATE "SELLABLE" ITEMS.  HELP THE GENERAL FUND!!!
You will be notified of drop-off times taking place during Percussion and Guard Camps, Pre-Camp and Band Camp.


DON'T FORGET: NightBEAT Drum and Bugle Corps Competition in Charlotte at Memorial Stadium

Mr. Underwood strongly suggest that students and parents make arrangements to attend this competition of world class drum and bugle corps.  You will learn a lot and have a great time!  We will not be going as a group since we won't be in session yet.  For more information and to order tickets contact Carolina Crown at www.carolinacrown.org 


SENIORS AND OFFICERS NOTICE:
SENIOR / OFFICER MEETING: Saturday August 2nd 1:00pm at the Band Room / should last till about 4:00 
     This meeting will be important to make sure we're all on the same page for getting things started. We'll have an organizational meeting and set up some items for camps.

SENIOR / OFFICER POOL PARTY!!!! Saturday August 2nd at 6:00pm. I'll kick you out by 11:00pm or so...sorry. 
     This annual event takes place at Mr. Underwood's house each year. Come celebrate the beginning of the new year and have fun! Bring your favorite snack     food and soda to share with everyone.

SENIOR / OFFICER LINE-OFF FIELD and FINAL SET-UP: Thursday August 7th 10:00am / last till 1:00ish 
     This is VERY IMPORTANT! Guard and Percussion will be at camp, but the rest of seniors and officers will need to be there line practice field and get everything ready.

 NEW!  WOODWINDS:  Beverly, Meggan and Michael have schedule a Sectional for you.
   Tuesday July 8th 4:00-6:00pm  Bring $3 to help pay for pizza!

MORE NEW!!  FLUTES:  The "Kaitlyn duo" (Beaver and Nagle...your Section Leaders) have scheduled a Flute Sectional on Wednesday July 9th 3:00-5:00pm at the Band Room.  This is in addition to your full Woodwind Sectional the day before.

**NOTE: Band Camp is a REQUIRED part of marching band. Drill is begun and music is learned. It is a VERY intense week. Vacations are NOT a valid reason to miss. Those not at camp will be considered alternates and be placed in the show as needed, unless prior permission is granted by Mr. Underwood   (ALL MEMBERS…includes guard and percussion)

          9-12 Rehearsal outside

*Pep Band will attend most Away games, except in county is always full band. Away Playoff games will be Pep Band only. Each student is required to go on at least two Pep Band trips (not including playoffs).
*There are often community functions that arise where the band is asked to perform. Notice will be given enough in advance for proper plans to be made.
